Captains Saloon is seriously committed to the protection of private information. We pay special attention to maintaining privacy when working with personal information. Personal information will be used in accordance with the laws contained by the federal German data protection laws; the operators of this website are commiting themselves to privacy. 1. Personal Data

Personal data is information which could be used to determine an identity. Included in this category is legal name, address, mailing address and telephone number. Information, which cannot be directly related to a true identity (for example favorite websites, or the number of users on a website) are not considered personal data. Our online store can generally be used without disclosing identity. If a user registers , becomes a member (“registered user”), personal information can registered in the user profile. It is a personal decision whether this information is entered. As we are attempting to allow the usage of the website with only collecting minimal personal data, the only elements required for registration of an account, will be the user name and which does not have to be the real name of the user, as well as an email address to which a password will be sent. As our webpages are accessed we are logging sever side data (such as IP-Address, date, time, and requested page). No person specific analysis of this data is conducted. We may use aggregate data for statistical analysis. We utilize the personal data for technical administration and support of the website, and to handle customer service issues, only to the extent required. Any additional personal data will only be retained if this is voluntarily entered.

Your personal data will be transmitted across the internet only after being encrypted with 128 bit SSL v3, RC4, RSA. We are guarding our website and other systems through technical measures, and organizational safeguards against loss, destruction, unauthorized access or modification or dissemination of your data through unauthorized persons. Despite regular safeguards we cannot guarantee complete protection against all dangers and risks.

2. Transmission of personal data

We use the personal information provided by you to process your order. We will share your information with the appropriate shipping company, as far as that is required for the delivery of your merchandise (Name, address, and possibly phone number to coordinate delivery). To process your payment we will transmit your payment information to our bank. We do not release your information to other third parties, and do not use it for marketing purposes. Once your transaction has been completed, and payment completely processed, your data will be blocked from further use and after the expiration of tax and law statue of limitations, deleted.

3. Use of cookies

We use cookies-small datafiles with configuration information. They help us to deliver a user specific experience. We do not collect personal information with cookies. All functions of the website are usable without cookies, however, some settings and characteristics are not available.

4. Children

Individuals under the age of 18 should not transmit personal information to us, without the consent of their parents or guardians. We do not request personal information of children, do not collect this information and do not transmit it to third parties.

5. Right of recision

If you have left personal data on our website you can always modify or delete that information in your user profile. If you wish to have your record completely deleted please contact the webmaster. Our online offerings contains links to other websites. We cannot guarantee that the operators of the linked sites are in compliance with data security regulations.

7. Submissions

Submission made to our website are viewable by all. Submissions should be carefully reviewed, priot to submission, whether it contains information not intended for the public. It is likely that the submissions will be indexed by search engines and will maybe visible worldwide, without specifically addressing our website.

8. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter we will use your name and email address for our marketing purposes, until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. Your email address will not be given other parties. Your consent to use your email for our marketing purposes can be revoked prospectively by clicking on the link “Abmelden” at the end of the newsletter, or by deactivating the option “Newsletter abonnieren” in the member area of the website.
According to German federal data protection laws you have a right to receive information about the data we retain about you, as well, if applicable, have a right to have the data corrected, blocked or deleted without charge.
